If you’ve ever had to call tech support or do a support chat online, you’ve probably been asked to do a screen capture or “print screen” (PrtScn) to help the support person figure out what the heck you’re seeing. Well, what do you do when the device that needs support is your smart  phone? This article is a great resource no matter what type of device you slug around to take pictures of your kids and pets with to post on…I mean be available to your boss 24 hours a day.

Did you know that there’s a button on your keyboard, called “Print Scrn”? Clicking it will take an instant screenshot of what you’re doing on your PC and save it to the clipboard. This often comes in handy when you need to seek help online with an issue you’re having, or just want to show off something to friends or colleagues. As can be expected, such functionality also exists on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 8/8.1, but it turns out that quite some people are unaware of that.

Today, in this otherwise simple how-to, we’ll try to create a comprehensive list of of manufacturers and how they go about taking a screenshot.
